Telluride is an exceptional place to live and in many ways not just because of the community, but the four legged friends that also live there. They make the best adventure companions, leading us to the tops of mountains, down the ski piste, for a sunset stroll down main street, to stop and smell the flowers, or for a dip in the frigid river.
You don't have to live in Telluride to know that having a pet brings a priceless joy to the soul and for those of you who practice yoga at home, they also tend to be quite the yoga companion.
I was having one of those days where I could not find time to get to the studio to practice, so I rolled out my mat on the living room floor, popped on a YogaGlo video and tried to find stillness. Instead, I found my sweet English Bulldog, June, practically in my lap, ecstatic I was making time to "play"!
I laughed, she kissed my face and somehow, we managed to share the practice together.
This reminded me of the Huffington Post video that came out last summer titled, "Pets Interrupting Yoga". Check it out!
Namaste from our pet loving house to yours!
