There are only 8 weeks to go until RE:treat's yoga & hiking adventure kicks off in magical Telluride, Colorado. We are so excited about this experience, which gives busy women a chance to reconnect with nature, amongst like minded ladies in America's most picturesque mountain town.
This retreat takes place from July 13-19, 2014, right after the Telluride Yoga Festival which is happening from July 10-13, 2014. We thought that if women were going to come & take advantage of the festival, they might also want to stay in Telluride for some R&R with RE:treat. We will treat our guests to a local & luxurious week of yoga and hiking in the San Juan Mountains around Telluride.
We will meet on the evening of July 13 for a welcome dinner and get the chance to meet other guests, and your RE:treat hosts!
Each morning we will start the day with grounding and invigorating Forrest Yoga practice, led by Naani Sheva. Forrest Yoga is an intelligent and powerful practice based on breath, strength, integrity and spirit. Created by Ana Forrest, a woman with over 40 years of teaching experience, Forrest Yoga is designed to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people today. Poses are held longer with a focus on alignment to build heat and strength in the body. Great care is taking to prevent, work with and heal injuries. Breath and core work are at the center of every class, aiding the students to go deeper in their physical practice while connecting to spirit. All levels and abilities welcome. For further information visit Naani's website. We will really try and mix it up with the location of the morning yoga practice - some mornings we will practice by the river and other mornings we will take you to a mountain top or Town Park. We will make it fun & varied each day.
After yoga, we will enjoy breakfast either prepared by our chef, or we will take you to one of our favorite spots in town so you can enjoy the atmosphere of Telluride town. After breakfast, we will prepare for our daily hike. We will start the hiking off nice & easy with some 'local loops' around town, just to get you adjusted to the elevation. Each day we will build up the length of the hikes, so you can easily transition from one level of difficulty to the next. If necessary we will split the group in two if some guests are looking for more of a hiking challenge.
In the late afternoon, we will enjoy a shorter, restorative yoga practice to unwind from the day. Each night we will enjoy dinner together (once again either prepared by our chef or we will head out to a restaurant).
Each part of the RE:treat day is 100% optional. If you are feeling in need of rest, or some time alone, you are always welcome to do your own thing. We also understand that some people might need to work and we have no problem with you taking the time to 'keep the home/office fires burning'.
